What Olostep is
Olostep is web-data infrastructure for developers and AI agents that need fresh public-web information without maintaining a separate browser, proxy and scraping stack. Its August 30, 2026 Product Hunt launch created a fresh discovery window, while the underlying service and documentation existed before that listing.
The platform exposes web search, page scraping, site crawling, URL discovery, batching, structured extraction, web-grounded answers, monitoring and multi-step research workflows. It is infrastructure for building applications rather than a consumer chatbot.
02
Scrape, crawl, map, search and monitor
Use scraping when you know the target page, crawling when you need multiple pages from a site, mapping when you first need URL discovery and search when the job begins with a query. Olostep also documents batch workflows and recurring monitors/schedules.
Outputs can include machine-usable formats such as Markdown, HTML, text, screenshots and structured data. Olostep documents JavaScript-rendered requests and developer access through HTTP plus Python and Node-oriented workflows.

Olostep pricing as reverified on August 31, 2026
The official pricing page currently lists Trial at $0 with 500 successful requests and no credit card requirement; Starter at $9/month with 5,000 successful requests and 150 concurrent requests; Standard at $99/month with 200,000 successful requests and 500 concurrent requests; and Scale at $399/month with 1 million successful requests plus AI-powered browser automations.
Olostep also sells top-up credit packs and enterprise arrangements. The company says it bills successful requests; endpoints involving language-model processing can introduce model-related costs, so total workflow cost should be measured rather than assuming every operation has the same economics.
04
Coding-agent integration
Olostep has a first-party CLI/skills installation path for coding agents. Its current integration page explicitly names Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf, OpenAI Codex and Gemini CLI, plus compatible agents that support skill directories.
The documented setup installs olostep-cli, authenticates through a browser and installs Olostep-prefixed skills into detected agent directories. This is a skill-based integration; it should not be called MCP unless separate first-party MCP documentation appears. See the agent setup guide.
05
Use cases and important limits
Olostep can support current-data retrieval for AI/RAG systems, creator and competitor research, SEO monitoring, public company research and recurring change detection. It is a collection layer, not a replacement for first-party analytics such as Search Console and not a guarantee of ranking improvement.
Olostep says it works with most publicly available sites, including JavaScript-rendered pages. Logged-in or cookie-based access is case by case. Teams remain responsible for site terms, privacy obligations and applicable law, and vendor uptime/scale/cost claims should be tested against the actual target workload. For implementation details, read the Olostep API guide.
